New Year Resolutions =)

I know i have basically faded into oblivion since my last post which was eons ago, so sorry for that. To redeem myself i have decided to write about my 2010 New Year Resolutions, for 2 reasons. 1) i blog too little?? lol. just wanna find something to write if not my writing skills will get rusty and i am joining my sch's editorial board next year( as a small helper only la), so must polish them up!! heehee =) 2) by sharing my resolutions online, that means its harder to back out lo, if not it will be very EMBARRASSING. i have got quite a big ego, so as to not bruise it, this blog post will spur me to achieve my goals . lol. very lame excuse, but no choice, as i am quite lame. haha =)

Ok, cutting to the chase, below are the 10 new year sesolutions i have set for myself and i hope to achieve it in the new year 2010. =) wish me luck!

1) i WANT to get straight A's for my PMR & JUEC exams!!!
Altogether 15 A's coz i am dropping ART in my JUEC, heehee ;-)

2) to achieve that i need to STUDY right? so my next resolution is to set a good study plan and abide to it( minus all the PROCRASTINATION & LAZINESS) ps: this will be the hardest! 0.O*fingers crossed in fervent prayer*

3) pull my purata up to 83-85%, this will require me to complete resolution number 2, lol. subjects i need to work on are : a) MATHS( algebra+ geometry) b) BIOLOGY c) PHYSICS d) BM
phew, gotta really buck up.

4) Learn FRENCH, must be able to pass lvl 1 and progress on to basic user lvl 2. no slacking on this!!

5) Improve my chess skills. PRACTICE MORE....!

6) If i have the time, maybe take up Japanese again =) Japanese guys are too cute la. haha

7) Excel in extra curricular activities( 24 seasons drums ), maybe join the debate team?? editorial board etc. Be a more responsible and reliable person. Take on more challenges?

8) Finish 40 books in the whole year, fiction & non fiction.( english + mandarin + bm? ) haha
And exercise more!!! become more active. haha.

9) Try my best to overcome my shyness, and change to be someone more bold, outspoken and adventurous. =) Take the initiative to make new friends and be more sociable =D

10) ok ok, last one d. Overall, just be a better person than i was before. Create more joy among my friends & contribute more to society =) ( this is most important)

OK, thats it for 2010. Thanks for reading and i really hope u enjoyed reading it.

PEACE OUT.
Marie =)

Things

The last day of school for me this year.

I wish i could have done things better, achieved a little bit more of my goals, been a better person, friend. But in the end, dreams turn to dust and i am back to square one.

Still that same old person who isn't good enough, who isn't brilliant enough and who just doesn't match up to others. I hate that feeling of defeat, but i have done nothing to change that, thats why i hate myself sometimes.

Just a daydreamer who dreams and dreams and dreams again. I feel inadequate, and that feeling just won't go away. I just want to change, be someone who i can bring myself to love, not some loser who spends so much time drawing castles in the air. I want to build those castles, and live in them someday.

So here's to a better Marie Lim Shu Fei, cheers=)

I'M BACK!!!!

lol.....the title explains everything. I think i am gonna start blogging pretty often now, because i want to hone my writing skills..hehe=)

As 90% of this planet knows already that our beloved King of POP has gone to Neverland, here's wishing him peace and happiness on his journey beyond death(if it really exists). He brought joy to billions of people worldwide regardless of age, race or gender. Even though he never really experienced happiness, i think he would have no regrets after accomplishing such an amazing success. I LOVE YOU MJ, YOUR MUSIC WILL ALWAYS LIVE ON IN MY HEART.

Resuscitation of my half dead blog...

Was surfing some great blogs filled with lovely pictures of limited edition and probably jaw droppingly expensive sneakers.....i found this strong urge to go and buy one but realised that an economic crisis is happening and we are supposed to SAVE, SAVE & SAVE somemore....haiz.....so I'll start SAVING to buy my dream pair of sneakers!!! hehe. ><.

Visited Namewee's blog too....his rap songs are pretty cool though not much music , the lyrics are actually kinda true....kudos to him for being so bold and daring to produce such 'diao' music. Malaysia needs more outspoken individuals like him to voice out opinions....then only can improve ma.....right???

Lol....am at a loss for words now, to prevent myself from being a rambling, boring old drab.....so----
Adios!

Why???

THIS deeply angers me....only the part where the header reads "A diaster is happening in this country" , read the part where he says: "This is our land basically. And we have already given one special privilege to the non-Malays, that is citizenship," ....Bloody hell...who gave him the right to call malaysia 'Our' land....i need not point out who 'our' is.....malaysia originally belonged to orang asli...not malays....even if it did...they have no right to call it 'their' country now....everybody has contributed a hell of a lot to the this country we call Malaysia...

How can some polliticians rant about racial integration when they themselves are the ones calling for special privileges given to alleged 'bumiputeras', and egging on the idea that Malaysia is 'their' land....remember the keris waving incident?

How can malaysia progress when the leaders of tomorrow are spewing cocky comments like this about other races? How can we move forward when our leaders are hanging back and watching the country slip into recession? How can we achieve our goals when there is massive brain drain going on? When 1 race is valued above the others, When no fairness is practiced, When our politics are so messed up, When corruption happens every minute, And most importantly, NO effort is made to stop it.

Stop and think for a minute, why are the leaders wasting their time worrying about other people's well being when their own citizens are suffering in silence?

EVERYBODY in malaysia is of equal right, i detest and strongly object to all special rights doled out to a percentage of people, i really wish that the change in the states can happen here someday, when that day comes, then maybe we can finally say: We have progressed. and we have achieved wawasan 2020.

Brainless

Why are people so f***ing retarded nowadays? What has US got to do with the bombings of Gaza? Will it help us if we boycott their products?
Malaysia isn't China...our population is so small...what impact will we have over the US? will they change their opinion to support Israel(where all the jews are from) just because some tiny asian country chooses to boycott their products?
Just because a small percentage of Coca-cola and starbucks customers choose to boycott them...will it make 'big brother' US change such a big decision?

Why bother with all this pointless and brainless hatred with the US? what will we get out of it? how will it help our economy? The war over in Gaza is saddening and also painful to watch.....but we must remember that the whole world is in turmoil....there is no point in wasting our time starting a cold war with the US....almost our entire economy depends on them....

In my opinion...we should just keep to ourselves and not waste time and effort over other people's business...instead, we should focus more on reviving our dying economy, try and combat corruption, prevent crimes, improve our facilities, educate our citizens(and politicians), stop brain drain and end poverty. Aren't I right?

Anyway, for those who don't get what i have blabbed about up there, kindly refer to this article .

Thank you for reading,
